Privacy Policy

Effective date: 3 July 2026 · Applies to the Exchange Alley app for iOS and iPadOS

The short version: Exchange Alley collects no data. The app has no accounts, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. It does not connect to the internet to play. Everything the app stores stays on your device, and the only thing it ever transmits is game traffic sent directly to nearby players over Bluetooth during a game you choose to join.

Who we are

Exchange Alley is developed and published by Andy Duggan ("we", "us"). If you have any question about this policy or your data, contact exchangealley@dugganleisure.com.

Data we collect

We collect no personal data. The app sends nothing to us or to any third party:

Accordingly, the app's App Store privacy label is "Data Not Collected."

Data stored on your device

To make the game work, the app keeps a small amount of data locally on your device only:

This data never leaves your device except as described below, and we have no access to it.

Data shared with nearby players over Bluetooth

Exchange Alley is a local multiplayer game. When you host or join a table, your device communicates directly with the other players' devices nearby using Bluetooth Low Energy. What is exchanged is limited to what the table needs to run:

This information goes only to the devices at your table, is not routed through the internet or any server, and is not retained by us. Players you have shared a table with keep your display name and results in their local friends ranking, just as you keep theirs.

Bluetooth permission

iOS will ask for Bluetooth permission the first time you host or join a table. The app uses Bluetooth solely to discover nearby tables and to play. If you decline, solo practice against the Robos still works fully — Bluetooth is only needed for multiplayer.

Children's privacy

The app is suitable for a general audience and collects no data from anyone, including children. We do not knowingly process personal information of any user of any age.

Your choices and data deletion

All app data lives on your device. You can change your display name at any time in Settings, and you can erase everything the app has stored by deleting the app from your device. Because we hold no copy of your data, there is nothing further for us to delete.

Security

Game traffic is exchanged over short-range Bluetooth between the devices at your table and is not broadcast to the internet. Local data is stored in the app's private storage area, protected by your device's standard iOS protections.

Changes to this policy

If a future version of the app changes what data is handled — for example, if online features are ever added — this policy will be updated first, the effective date above will change, and the App Store privacy label will be updated to match.
